eduFire Meets in San Francisco!

Posted on 09. Dec, 2008 by Koichi in eduFire News

Last week, the friendly faces working at eduFire (save Marco, we missed you, buddy!) all met up in San Francisco to immerse ourselves in sweet, sweet, eduFireyness. We brainstormed, we met, we ate, we talked, and we came up with lots and lots of goals (like getting eduFire mentioned in a rap music video). But that’s not all we did. Luckily, we got to enjoy ourselves a little too. I mean, it’s San Francisco! What a beautiful city!

Jared, one of the engineering geniuses, is an avid kite flyer. That right there is an expensive kite, and he let everyone give it a whirl. I’m surprised the kite made it out of San Francisco alive, to be honest!

There’s Jon and Ryan looking off into… the future! Jared was flying his kite, Koichi was taking the picture, and Scott was taking a nap. It was a beautiful day.

Here’s Ryan and Koichi taking a look at the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately, Koichi isn’t as pro as he thought at doing self-shots with a camera. The good part of the bridge is behind his big head.

Scott with his trusty navigation system. We were all very disappointed at how understanding it was when we didn’t follow it’s directions. “Turn left here…Turn left here…turn left here…why aren’t you listening to me?”

It was a good and productive week, and we’re excited for a better eduFire in the future! Thank you for your support – it’s you that makes it all possible!

  • Hey guys - what happened to my invite? You could've asked me out for a drink/coffee. Next time.
  • Which of the guys did the 100-mile ultramarathons you told me about?
  • That would be Kelly, the guy on the far right in the top picture. He was originally going to fly home to Austin, but instead decided he'd take a small jog back ;-)
  • Great pics! Next time I'll surprise you all and turn up. :o
  • I hope so!
